List 01: 100 Films To See

I haven't watched a lot of films - I'm the first person to admit that. So small is the list of films that I actually have seen, in fact, that my friend Trevor (after being revived because, apparently, the shock killed him) suggested the first of my 100 lists - Films I Have To See. Some of the films on this list are movies that I have already seen, however if it is on this list then I cannot cross it off until I watch it again!

Post The First: About My Challenge

Greetings everyone out there in Internet-Land, I have a story to tell you.

Please, sit...Scooch closer...closer...okay, no, too close. There we go.

My name is Dwaine, and I like to do stuff. I know that sounds vague, but really, I just like to be doing things. Different things. All the time, changing. I'm 24 years old, and I live in a small city in Australia, called Bathurst. I've got a Bachelor of Computer Science, with a major in Calculus, and first class honours. At the moment, I work for myself, making iPhone and iPad apps.

The other day I was doing some research for a friend - he really likes cheesecake, and I wanted to surprise him by baking him one - and I came across a list of 100 things someone had decided they wanted to bake before they die.

This got me thinking about those books and lists you see "100 things I have to do before I die", a kind of bucket list, if you will...But what would you do if you really liked lists? Well, obviously you'd have to come up with a list of lists - and so this is what I have done!

I introduce to you, the One Hundred Hundreds challenge - 100 lists of 100 things I have to do before I die. Now, I haven't fully nutted out the lists just yet - I have concepts, and some ideas of what to go into some of the lists, but I will add to them as I go (I figure, that's part of the fun!)

Some concepts that I have are concrete lists, with defined goals: 100 books I have to read, 100 films I have to see, 100 people I have to meet - lists where I define the goals before I attempt to accomplish them (admittedly, though, the goals will be mutable for some lists, for instance if a person I have to meet dies, I can no longer meet them...But it will only be in extreme situations)

Other concepts are more...fluid, shall we say, and items won't be added to the list until they are completed. Items in this category will be things like 100 lives I have to change, or 100 friends I have to make...

I'm always going to be open to suggestions for lists, or for items to add to my lists, so please let me know if you have any ideas at all (I'll credit you and everything ^_^)

Anyway, that's my awkward introductory post out of the way...For my first blog ever, I think that went okay...

Catch-ya later Internet!!
